Renewals are granted at the discretion of the lending library. Some materials cannot be renewed at all. Please check the bookstrap on your item to determine if renewals are allowed.

 To request a renewal:

  • Log in to ILLiad
  • From the “View” menu on the left-hand side, click on “Checked Out Items (Renew).” A list of your currently checked-out ILL items will display.
  • Click on the transaction number of the item for which you’d like to request a renewal. Detailed information about this request will display.
  • Click on “Renew Request” at the top of the display.  A confirmation message will display.
  • If the lending library denies the renewal, you will receive an email notification; the original due date will still apply.
