Once you have conducted your initial search, 8 categories will appear on the left-hand side of the OneSearch results page that allow you to narrow your results. These categories are:

  1. Resource Type
  2. Subject
  3. Author/Creator
  4. Creation Date
  5. Library (referring to the physical location)
  6. Collection
  7. Language
  8. Journal title

Clicking on any of the items within these categories will generate a new set of results limited to your new specification.

For example, if you want to limit your search to only Newspaper Articles written in German:

First, conduct a search in the OneSearch tab on the library homepage to generate a set of results. Click on 'Newspaper Articles' in the Resource Type category and 'German' in the Language category.

Your new search results will meet these criteria.

Click on 'More Options' in any of the categories to see a full list of items to limit your search.

You may limit your searche to items available online only, and/or items from peer-reviewed journals only by choosing these options at the top of your search results.
