Peer review is a process that scholarly or academic journals adopt to ensure the quality of the articles they publish.  Articles that are submitted to journals for peer review will first be sent to other researchers or scholars with credentials in the appropriate field of study for review before they are published. The article will have a list of references or bibliography included with the work.
